Here's my first sizable new start for 2023, which I'm stitching for my son who is really into Minecraft these days, having requested a Minecraft birthday theme, and bedroom re-decoration (it was time, he has outgrown the previous enchanted forest theme). The chart (217 x 324) is by Olga Knyazeva, from Etsy, sorry her shop is no longer vending. The fabric is Light Olive Belfast Linen by Zweigart, 32 count. This project is super fun and easy. So far I've given it 3 days (equivalent) and 3,226 stitches. There is one more page to work across the top row. So, I've finished 3 of 16 pages. I'm hoping to have it done and framed as a Christmas gift this year.
I've got a couple more planned! Aside from smalls and ornaments, I plan to start the Stoney Creek Autumn Bellpull soon-ish (guess it's time to continue with the series, I've finished Summer in 2017 and Spring in 2020. So 2023 seems like a good time for Autumn! This was in the Stoney Creek magazine and is also available as a chart. ETA: I put it on my revised WIPGO board and its number was chosen for March! It seems like the fates think I should start this very soon. So, I will do so on WIPGO weekend. I've scheduled it for March 13th, on my March Madness bracket (Fandom Stitching Central FB group).
Winter Robin by Lesley Teare is another beautiful magazine chart (also available on her website). I stitched the Spring version back in 2018. At the time, I cut apart a fat quarter into, well, quarters. Time to use the rest! Maybe I'll start if after I finish Fata dell' Aurora.
Merry Christmas is by Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe. I purchased some cream Cashel and these 2 Threadworx cotton threads. The plan is to start this in July (Christmas in July, of course).
And now for possibles. Well, my rotation is devoid of Joan Elliott at the moment. I'm considering Fairy of the Wind, Cinderella, & Iris Fairy. Mirabilia Rennaissance Mermaid is coming along, and when she's done, I might need another Mira. Who am I kidding, I certainly need a Mira and/or Lavender & Lace in my rotation. (Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum was Nora Corbett's mother, and I do find some commonality between their aesthetics). Possibilities include Santa of the Forest, Portrait of Veronica, & Fairy Idyll.. Bellatrix is the only Halloween project left in my rotation and when she's done, I think Sleepy Hollow or Poltergeist Pirates (both by Glendon Place) might be just the ticket! *Copyright of pattern photos belongs to the respective designers.
All of these projects are at least partially kitted, so I could start any without too much fuss. ETA: my "boys" vote for Fairy Wind, Fairy Idyll, and Poltergeist Pirates. We'll see!
The Minecraft design looks fun! It’s nice to adapt his room as he grows up. My son still has two of my Teresa Wentzler dragon designs in his room as well as his two birth samplers!
I vote for Iris by Joan Elliott, I love her stance. Fairy Idyll because I’m stitching her too and I’ll let the boys choose the pirates for the final choice!

Minecraft translates into stitches nicely with the pixel look! Looks like a fun progress. Looking forward to seeing all your new starts when they come around.
