Merry Christmas Stitchers! Thanks for visiting. Welcome to Day 11 of Jo from Serendipitous Stitching's Online Advent Calendar.
My favorite piece of stitching to hang at Christmas is Royal Holiday. She was my first large Christmas project and she is truly regal. It was also my first time stitching on dark, sparkly fabric (this is opalescent belfast in the "Sparkling Forest' colorway from Silkweaver-old). Natural light helps a lot! This pattern was my introduction to Wisper thread. I still use Wisper in small doses, but I probably won't stitch another pattern that makes extensive use of it.
My all around favorite decoration is probably this ceramic gingerbread house, that I painted with many colors and tiny paintbrushes, glitter finishes, etc. There are other ceramic bisque pieces I'd like to do, especially a Christmas tree with tiny lights... when my son is a bit older, perhaps.
Merry Christmas to all and I hope all your Christmas stitching gets finished in timely fashion!
wOw! I am so very impressed with Royal Holiday! :D Your Gingerbread House is precious!
